My 3rd grade class collected 41 YMCA holiday care bags for retirement homes, seniors, and families in need.
Here's how we got the idea:
My daughters YMCA daycare advertised a flyer with the information on it.
These are the steps we took:
I distributed bags and flyers with the information to grades 2-4 at Hicks Canyon.
Here are some of the results:
We collected 41 care bags that included: pens, pencils, decks of cards, games, scarves, blankets, slippers, socks, puzzle books, holiday decorations, etc...
One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:
Students were excited about the project.
One of the most important things I learned was:
Students learned the best gift was to give, rather than receive.
This was a class project.
