Here's how we're taking action in our community:
We raised enough money to purchase a goat for a family plus a $17 gift to where it is needed most.
Here's how we got the idea:
I remember seeing a video about Heifer International and it said that giving a family an animal is not just one single gift. It spreads to other family members and people in their village just like a "ripple".
These are the steps we took:
We made the following crafts and sold them at the ripple kids fair:
--Emoji stress balls made out of balloons and flour
--Coffee cups painted with swirl design
--whistle sticks made from popsicle sticks
Here are some of the results:
We sold out of all of the products we made
One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:
being involved in the Ripple kids fair and seeing all of the other charities
One of the most important things I learned was:
To make time even if we are busy to help others and think of people who may be living on our planet with very little resources.
