Here's how we're taking action in our community:
I am taking action in my community by participating in the 'Shoes for Paws' which supports Lab Rescuers in San Diego. It asks for new or gently used shoes. And these shoes will be used to help people in developing countries. The more shoes the organization collects, the more money it will get.
Here's how we got the idea:
My mom volunteers for Lab Rescuers. She asked if we would like to help get more shoes. And we decided we would also help getting more donation here in school.
These are the steps we took:
Me and my brother both draw a poster telling our classmates about this project. My mom helped us. We used the poster to do a little presentation in our classes. My mom also wrote a little speech for my brother to promote it at Friday's school assembly.
Here are some of the results:
There are 7 to 10 bags of shoes donated from our classes and the school.
These are the people who volunteered with me:

We did get many shoes!
One of the most important things I learned was:
We can spend a little of our time to help others including animals.
