Here's how we're taking action in our community:
For at least 55 years children who are blind are visually impaired to have the oppurtunity to grow, learn and thrive. I really like learning about the blinds children learning center. Me and my brother are volunteers for the 5k walk on May 13th,2017
Here's how we got the idea:
One of my old teachers at my old school gave me the idea because she helps the blind children's learning center. I want to help them because then they can be as normal as everyone else.
These are the steps we took:
First, I researched about the blind and got posters and flyers to give out. Next, I made 50 bookmarks with different qoutes and colors and sold them for $1 each. I also sold ice cream with the choice of two toppings. The flavors were chocolate and vanilla. One scoop for $1 and two scoops for $2. Lastly, I sold my bookmarks and ice cream.
Here are some of the results:
I sold 5 bookmarks and raised altogether $73. The ice cream was melting, but it was still fresh. I overall think that everyone enjoyed the ice cream as much as they enjoyed my bookmarks. I made some people smile.
These are the people who volunteered with me:

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:
I really enjoyed making the bookmarks and being creative with other things. I enjoyed doing it with the help of my mom. I really think I might do this next year. Also whether they sell or not I still took action to make it whether it got sold or not.
One of the most important things I learned was:
I am raising money for an organization to help them and their center. So they can have more people and more items to afford.
