Here's how we're taking action in our community:
We've been hand crafting clay charms and turning them into necklaces and keychains. We sold them at our school's Ripple Kids Fair to raise money for Max Love Project and for Ethan and Choco's Book Club
Here's how we got the idea:
My mom brought a Klutz crafting book on a skip trip. I started making clay charms by learning from the book.
These are the steps we took:
We bought supplies. We made charms. We set up a table. We sold the charms. We donated the money.
Here are some of the results:
We made over 200 charms. 6 kids and 3 parents worked on this project. We made $200 and we still have leftover clay charms to sell in the future.
One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:
Seeing our friends wearing the clay charms at school the next day!
One of the most important things I learned was:
Perseverance. Some days it was hard to make more charms but we kept working so that we would have enough to sell at the sale.
