At Project Hope Alliance we offer snack bags to children coming to our offices for services like tutoring, meeting with their case manager and getting educational support. The snacks will give them the energy to learn while the decorations show them that they matter!

• Brown paper lunch bags
• Juice Boxes or water
• Nonperishable fruit (fruit cup or applesauce)
• Nonperishable carbs/proteins (granola bar, crackers with peanut butter, individual packs of nuts.
• Napkins
• Plastic fork or spoon

1. Use markers, crayons, stickers, or any other art supplies to decorate the paper bags. Not sure what to draw? Maybe write an encouraging sentence or favorite quote!
2. Done decorating? Fill each bag with a juice box, a nonperishable fruit, a nonperishable carb/protein, a napkin, and any necessary utensils.
3. Fold over the top of the bag and seal with some colorful duct tape or using a stapler. Make as many snack bags as you would like!
4. Once you are done, have a parent call Adriana at (949) 791-2716 and arrange a time to drop off your bags in our office!

TIP: This is a great project for you to do at a sleepover, birthday party or with a Girl Scout troop! Remember, healthy snacks are always appreciated!

Last year, Project Hope Alliance gave out 2,214 bags of groceries at our food pantry. These bags help our families to focus their money on housing and utilities while keeping their kids well fed! Our pantry is stocked by donations from individuals like you.

1. Download the food pantry wish list from our web site.
2. Take the list with you to the grocery store and look over the items with your children. What items do you want to buy for our pantry? When picking out the items think about what you like to eat. The kids Project Hope Alliance serves are just like you, so they might like the same types of food, too!
3. Fold over the top of the bag and seal with some colorful duct tape or using a stapler. Make as many snack bags as you would like!
4. Once you are done, call Adriana at (949) 791-2716. She will help you set up a time to come into the offices. Bring your groceries with you to donate. You can spend some time helping in the food pantry and putting your awesome grocery gifts onto the shelves!

Do you love having lemonade stands? We do, too. For this project, you will host a lemonade stand to raise awareness (and dollars!) for Project Hope Alliance. Your contributions will help us to end homelessness through education and housing.

1. Grab a group of friends and set up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood. Ask your mom or another adult to help.
2. Go to ‘Summer Serve’ on our website to download labels for the cups, a sign for the stand, and to print info sheets for customers.
3. Put the labels you printed on the cups, print the info sheets, and prepare a sign for the stand.
4. Host your lemonade stand with your friends and have fun! Tell customers why they care about Project Hope Alliance and why they want to support homeless families in OC. Feel free to give away the info sheets you printed.
